As we now have a second location at Tuggerah, when booking your appointment the staff will advise you of which location you will be attending (North Gosford or Tuggerah). It is important that you take note of the location to avoid missing your appointment. We will also send you out an appointment letter which will have the full details of your appointment, including the address of where you will be attending.
What you will need to bring:
- Referral letter from your doctor
- Family history form and medication list (which will be posted to you from our office)
- Medicare/DVA card
- Private Health Fund card
- Pension card
- Recent scans and/or pathology results
Duration of appointment:
You will be here for approximately 30-60 minutes, depending on wait times on the day and whether or not you will require any testing follow your consultation with the doctor.
When you arrive:
You will need to register at reception and provide any relevant documentation to the receptionist. You will then have an ECG and consultation with the specialist. Any further testing that may be required will be arranged following your consultation.
Cost of appointment:
When you phone to make an appointment with one of our specialists, the cost of the consultation will be provided to you and you will also receive a letter from us prior to your appointment with all of the details including the cost and the approximate rebate from Medicare.
On the day of your consultation, payment is required in full. This payment can be made by cash, cheque, EFTPOS or credit card (we do not accept American Express or Diners).
We do have the facilities to send your claim to Medicare online and you will receive the rebate from Medicare usually within 24-48 hours. In order for us to be able to send through this claim for you, you will need to make sure you have your bank details registered with Medicare.
